Lake Lyell (Lithgow)

Lake Information:
 Construction Date: 1984. Updated in 1996
River System: Coxs River
Capacity: 33 500 Mega litres
Surface Area: 238 hectares
Maximum Depth: 37 meters
 Ramp: 150m long 2 lane grooved concrete with dog leg last 10m when dam level 20%
 Stocked Fish
Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout and Bass.
 Boating
Lake Lyell is open to all boating activities.
With the except for an exclusion zone around the dam wall, there are no restrictions.
Several boat ramps are provided around the lake.
 *Lake Lyell may be closed to boating at times of low water.
Camping
Camping is permitted at Lake Lyell.
 Hotel / Motel available in Lithgow.
