For
the Easter Weekend in April we headed to the banks of
Lake Glenbawn to try our hand at Bass Fishing. It was an
excellent turn out with around 40 people in our group
attending. The weather was excellent not hot nor cold
with no rain just a little wind. But while our gallant
fisho's tried their hardest only 3 fish were caught. One
by Esky before the comp started on Thursday, another by
Allan who miss read the length limitation and threw it
back & the winning Bass by Crusty at a whooping 26cm
weighing 0.3kg? Hope he gets it mounted? The highlight
for the weekend was the social BBQ on Saturday Night. It
was a blast with everyone enjoying the food & company of
friends resulting in all having a great time. With 12
boats attending including Bret's new cuddy cab the only
misadventure known was the 2 Keith's boat loosing
steering before use. Rendering it a mere box trailer for
the 500km round trip. Celebrities at the camp ground
providing entertainment included Evil Kenevel displaying
his wheel standing exploits. Unfortunately at the time
Paul was on the back & was thrown off. The Easter raffle
was won by Bruce & Ularu Providing them both with
a $50 voucher for the Tingha Palace Restaurant.
