Lake Windamere Mudgee

The October long weekend closed our Fishing comp for this year at Lake Windermere Mudgee. Though it was a weekend burdened by the odd rain shower 14 Senior & 4 junior members attended along with 13 guests (mostly kids) with 7 boats. The campsite was excellent with 24hr country music playing in the amenities block? But the mud bank boat ramp was a challenge to launch & retrieve. Just ask Brett who sank up to his thighs in mud guiding his boat onto the trailer. Hope your back gets better ? The 4wd's attending that weekend certainly served a purpose retrieving boats from the lake. Though Crusty in his haste forgot to unhook his campsite electric light system from his vehicle and nearly pulled his tent down? On Saturday Night and attending Sailing Club put on a $10000 fireworks spectacular. You sure don't expect that in the middle of nowhere? Unfortunately our only catch was naturally, by Ian who landed a $20 fishing lure? However when retrieving the line attached to it he brought up a $190 rod reel from the murky depths. Ok so it wasn't a fish, but it was a keeper and we still weighed it in ?
